Brian Blunt | B.Sc., M.Sc., J.D.
Brian Blunt is a lawyer, patent agent trainee and trademark agent trainee, whose practice focuses primarily on protecting the intellectual property (IP) of his clients.
Mr. Blunt’s practice focuses on the preparation of patent applications, IP infringement opinions, IP acquisition and licensing agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. Mr. Blunt also assists with litigation services in matters at the Federal Court of Canada and the British Columbia Supreme Court.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Blunt completed his articles with a full-service firm in Victoria, British Columbia.
Mr. Blunt obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Nipissing University, a Master of Science in Biology with a specialization in cell, development, and physiology, from the University of Alberta, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria.
Mr. Blunt’s experience as a research scientist provides him with the ability to understand complex scientific subject matter. Mr. Blunt’s experience as a research scientist includes the fields of organic chemistry, electrophysiology, and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
