Anita focuses on helping companies and individuals protect, commercialize, and manage their intellectual property assets. She enjoys getting to know her clients’ business objectives and providing practical advice that helps her clients achieve their goals.

Anita is a lawyer whose practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property law including obtaining patent, trademark, copyright and industrial design protection worldwide, managing intellectual property disputes, assisting clients in acquiring, selling or commercializing technologies, and advising on licensing matters and related contractual agreements.

Anita assists clients that include small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), start-ups, educational institutions, creative companies, technology companies, and individuals. She enjoys applying her expertise to a breadth of industries including: advising game studios on copyright infringement matters; virtual reality technology companies on patent infringement issues; blockchain companies on trademark protection matters; and numerous other individuals and companies in the creative and technology industries.

Anita holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Alberta and a Juris Doctor degree from Thompson Rivers University. She is a practicing lawyer before the British Columbia Bar and is a registered Canadian patent and trademark agent.
