Nick Toth is a patent and trade-mark agent and lawyer whose practice focuses primarily on protecting the intellectual property (IP) in electronics, optics, mechanical devices, software and internet technologies.

On behalf of diverse high-tech businesses, Mr. Toth prepares and prosecutes patent, trade-mark, industrial design and copyright applications in Canada and internationally, including United States provisional and Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) patent applications; conducts patent, industrial design and trade-mark searches and provides patentability and registrability opinions; provides IP validity and infringement opinions; prepares IP acquisition and licensing agreements, and non-disclosure agreements; prepares website policies and user agreements; conducts website and IP compliance reviews; and acquires, retrieves and safeguards domain names.

Previously, Mr. Toth was employed for five years as an electronics & opto-electronics engineer for a B.C. company manufacturing fiber-optic transmission equipment. Mr. Toth has extensive experience designing RF (radio frequency), microwave band and opto-electronic circuitry.
